ChaLean Extreme Fat burning food guide!
I’ve completed week one of ChaLean Extreme and I’ve written a review of each workout for the 1st phase (the workouts get repeated until the next phase). I’m still doing ChaLean Extreme and will blog here to keep myself accountable and help motivate you, but thought I would write about other aspects of the program so I don’t get repetitive!
Honestly, I never look at the food program that comes with workouts, but since becoming a beachbody coach I’ve learned how important eating right is when you want to get results. It’s actually more important than the exercise! So with that weren’t true!
The ChaLean Extreme Fat Burning Food Guide is the first food guide I’ve read and I am pleasantly surprised! Most diet or healthy eating books are full of stuff I won’t eat. As far as meat goes I only eat seafood. I’ll have an egg baked in a cake and that’s about it! Usually meal plans have nothing for me. I’ve read how important diet is to weight loss and how abs are made in the kitchen so one day when Graceson was sleeping on me I opened the book. I’m really determined to make a change. Even if it’s a really hard one!
The ChaLean Extreme Fat Burning Food Guide starts with a quick not from Chalene Johnson about the importance of eating right and getting proper protein when building muscle. Being a lazy vegetarian (there are non lazy ones, I’m just not there yet) I usually load up on carbs and don’t get anywhere near the protein I need. Next up the ChaLean Extreme Fat Burning Food Guide talks about how many calories gives you a daily calorie estimate and tells you how to pick meals based on what phase of the workout you will be doing. Chalene tackles subjects like fats, carbs, proteins, vegetarians, and when to eat and other things in the beginning of the book. The actual meals don’t start until page 23 so there is a lot of information in this book!
ChaLean Extreme Fat Burning Food Guide – How’s the food?
You are probably reading this post to know about the food! So here it goes!
The ChaLean Extreme recipes are broken down my catergories: Breakfast, Lunches, Dinners, and Snacks. Each category is broken down by what phase of the workout you are in: Burn, Push, or Lean. What makes me really want to try the food is the amazing pictures that are next to the recipes. They all look so good! I just looked at the book a couple days ago so I haven’t tried many of the over 80 recipes yet, but I have loved the ones I’ve tried!
Here are just a few of the ChaLean Extreme breakfast ideas:
- Goad Cheese and Tomato Omelet
- Cinnamon Ricotta Crunch (I bought the ingredients for this, picture looks so good)!
- Cottage Cheese Parfait (Yummy, I had it for a snack)
- Fruit Topped Waffles

- Grilled Salmon Burger
- Sushi Platter
- Overstuffed Deli Sandwich
- Country Style Pork Chops with Sauteed Spinach
- Cherry Tomato Salmon
- Balsamic Flank Steak With Sauteed Spinach and Faux Mashed Potatoes
- Shirmp Fra Diavolo Over Linguini
- Mini Slider
- Wrap and Roll Mini Pinwheels (I plan on making these on Saturday so JT can have them with me)
- Deviled Tomatoes
- Pizza Margarita
My favorite recipe in the ChaLean Extreme Fat Burning Food Guide is a Boca Burger Sandwich on a bagel thin! Of course Graceson is laying on me and even though I keep flipping through my book I can’t find it, but it’s soooo good! I never liked veggie burgers before, but found one I love. Hmmm, I may have to do a review on it!
After the recipes there’s a fit for life section and an eating out guide.
The guide book is 103 pages! It’s full of information. I’m so glad I picked it up!
